Jenson: 10 Days Old | Baton Rouge, Louisiana Newborn Portrait Photographer

Its still a little bit surreal that I get to write this blog (even though he’s sitting next to me right now) but I FINALLY go to photograph MY sweet little one!! I’ve been fairly open with my personal life on social media so a lot of you reading this were following me 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and going through chemotherapy. Fast forward a few years to when we were ready to have a baby. We were pretty certain we’d have to take special measures to get pregnant and through the miracle of modern medicine, the help of the wonderful doctors and nurses at Fertility Answers at Woman’s hospital, months of medications and injections, and one VERY SUCCESSFUL IVF procedure, we were blessed with our sweet boy. We just KNEW we were having a girl and I think it took us a few days to wrap our heads around the idea that we were, in fact, having a BOY. And now neither of us could imagine it any other way. 🙂

Jenson was such a well-behaved baby that he waited until about 18 hours after my very last scheduled session to decide he was ready to come into this world. 😉 I would have loved to get him into the studio a little earlier but recovering from a c-section was a little tougher than I imagined. Thankfully, my husband drove us to the studio at 10 days so I could grab some shots of him before he was TOO old. 🙂 Here are some of my favorites of him. <3 <3 <3
