Wyatt – 6 days old | Denham Springs Newborn and Baby Photographer

So about 8 months ago, while I was going through chemo (for those who are new to following my story – I just recently finished treatment for breast cancer), my sister called me and said she “needed to tell me something”. I immediately tensed up thinking something was wrong because her voice was a little shaky and then she surprised me by telling me she just found out she was pregnant! For those of you that aren’t familiar with all of the side effects of chemo – one of them is putting women into early menopause, possibly permanently. Because my sister knew I wanted to have a baby (or two or three!) of my own one day, and knowing what effects the chemo was causing me at the time, she was nervous to tell me. 🙂 Silly girl! I know God will bless us with a baby in one way or another when the time is right. 🙂   This just gave me something else to keep my mind preoccupied with while finishing my treatments. My other nephews are 10 and almost 7 so this one was definitely a “surprise”! 😉 But a very welcome surprise….

This little guy definitely has a very strong personality. Not only did he decide he was ready to come 5 1/2 weeks early (missing his oldest brother’s birthday by 1 minute), he also decided that he didn’t care if I had all of these wonderful plans  and ideas for a stress-free, laid back newborn session with him. He was just a big bully to me! 😉 I’m still in love with the pictures I was able to capture. I just had to work a little harder to get them!  And I’ll have plenty of time to harass him with my camera in the future! Here are some of my favorites……
