It is always an incredible honor when another photographer chooses me to capture such an important milestone. This beautiful studio maternity session celebrated the excitement of welcoming a little one while showcasing several timeless, elegant looks from my studio wardrobe. I can’t wait to continue documenting this family’s journey through my JOY {Just One Year} Plan! (I’ve already photographed her little one as a newborn so stayed tuned for that one!)
Lindsey selected three gorgeous looks from my studio wardrobe, each creating its own unique feel. We began with a soft pale pink gown for a classic, feminine look and added a few pink florals in the foreground to add another feminine touch.

Then we chose to add a little bit of movement into the session with this gorgeous ivory fabric that we styled on Lindsay in a few different ways – accenting her grown belly.

We changed up the lighting a little bit to do a few sleek silhouette images of the fabric losely draped over Lindsey’s belly.

And then we swapped to a different backdrop for a few pictures with a more contrasting vibe.

We then used a sheer green fabric to wrap in different ways. One of my favorite things about incorporating fabrics into my maternity sessions is that they’re so versatile. We can always do my classing fabric tossing look but then can change things up a bit by simply rearrranging the way the fabric is used.

During Lindsey’s session, I had just received a brand-new gown featuring stunning sequin boning, and she graciously agreed to model it for me. It quickly became one of my favorite pieces! Against a black backdrop, the gown created an elegant, high-fashion portrait that perfectly balanced timeless beauty with modern glamour.

Be on the lookout for her little one’s session soon. I can’t wait to continue telling their family’s story throughout the year! Here are a few of my other favorites from this gorgeous mama’s studio maternity session.
