Scheduling & Planning
Newborn sessions are best photographed during the baby’s first 3 weeks to achieve those super sleepy poses, however, we can always create beautiful portraits at any age.
Booking during the beginning of your second trimester ensures that you have a space reserved for you session and also gives us plenty of time to plan and design a session that perfectly fits your vision. I have a full studio collection of posing blankets, soft swaddles, accessories to use for each session so there is no need to bring anything for the session unless you have something special you’d like to incorporate.
If you’d like to include family or sibling pictures in your session, I can help you coordinate outfits that will work the best for your specific style.
During Your Session
Prior to your session I will send you a guide that will give you some information on getting your little one “picture ready” on the day of. Once you arrive to the studio, I will already have the studio room warm and cozy to welcome your family. The sets that will be used for your session will already be set out ready to go so you can simply sit down and relax while I work with your little one.
Snacks and drinks are always available in the front room and I always leave extra time for baby snuggles and feedings. You can relax in knowing that I make safety in posing your little one my top priority.
After Your Session
Once your portrait session is completed, I will then begin to create your curated gallery of images – perfecting each image, giving extra editing attention to any areas of “new baby” skin blemishes resulting in beautiful images that you’ll be proud to hang on your walls. The full gallery of images will be ready for you to view in the comfort of your home within two weeks of your session. (In studio proofing and ordering sessions are always available upon request.)
