Ten months is one of the sweetest—and most overlooked—ages for baby portraits. This beautiful baby girl visited my Baton Rouge studio for her milestone session, and after photographing her as a newborn, it was such a joy to see how much she had grown into her happy, curious personality.
While first birthdays are often the milestone parents think about, a 10-month session is truly a hidden gem. Babies at this age are usually full of smiles, sitting confidently, crawling, and showing so much personality (but not yet trying to run away! 😉 ), making it the perfect time to capture genuine expressions before those busy toddler days begin.
For this sweet girl’s session, we created a soft, feminine look with beautiful shades of pink, delicate florals, and timeless girly accents that complemented her perfectly – starting with this simple pink backdrop (that we also used at her newborn session) paired with a beautiful floral dress that her mama brought.
We then swapped to a sweet muted floral backdrop to add a little bit more of a floral accent, as well as soft pink rug to add a little bit of texture.
Sweet Aubrey was doing so well for her session that we had a little bit of extra time at the end. I grabbed one of the pale pink dresses from my studio collection and paired it with another pink floral-themed backdrop. I love giving baby girls little flowers to hold to keep their attention for a few seconds longer. I love how daintily Aubrey held onto hers.
And, of course, I had to try and grab a sweet profile picture of her and she gave the SWEETEST smiles to her mama while I was doing them! 🙂
