The very first newborn portrait session of 2026 at my Baton Rouge newborn photography studio was especially sweet. At just 11 days old, this beautiful baby girl was the picture of perfection and slept peacefully through much of her session, allowing us to capture a variety of timeless portraits.
Her session was styled with a soft, elegant color palette of neutral tones, light pinks, and unexpected pops of black, creating a modern yet classic look. We captured plenty of sweet solo portraits while she was sound asleep, highlighting all of her sweet features.
We also photographed several heartfelt family moments. Her proud big sister—one of my past JOY Plan babies—joined in for sibling portraits, along with mom and dad for a few relaxed family images. One particularly special portrait was a recreation of one of the family’s maternity portraits, this time with their newest little girl in their arms.
I’m so excited that this sweet baby has officially joined my JOY Plan, which means I’ll get to document her milestones throughout her first year here in Baton Rouge. Watching families grow is one of the greatest joys of newborn photography. 🙂
