Welcoming a new baby into the world is always worth celebrating, and sweet Birdie’s newborn session was filled with timeless portraits, vibrant colors, and meaningful moments with her mama. At my Baton Rouge newborn photography studio, every session is custom styled to reflect each family’s personality while creating artwork they’ll treasure for generations.
Birdie’s mama was kind enough to volunteer her little one to help me with some behind-the-scenes video content I was working on and she brought me the sweetest little doll I could have asked for.
Because you guys know I love color and florals, I designed some setups with that in mind. To balance the colorful sets, we also created classic newborn portraits using a soft neutral blanket and a cozy white sleeper. These simple, timeless images keep the focus right where it belongs—on beautiful baby Birdie.
One of my favorite moments from the session was capturing the special bond between Birdie and her mom. We incorporated the same luxurious blue satin tossing fabric I often use during my maternity sessions, giving their Mommy & Me portraits an glamorous, editorial feel. The flowing fabric added movement and created stunning heirloom images that celebrate both motherhood and the incredible connection between mother and daughter.
