Watching little ones grow through their first year is one of the greatest joys of my job, and this sweet boy’s JOY Plan journey was no exception. After photographing him as a newborn and again at six months, it was finally time to celebrate his first birthday with a fun, personality-filled milestone session at my Baton Rouge studio.
It’s hard to believe this handsome little guy has already celebrated his first birthday! Being part of my JOY Plan meant I had the privilege of documenting each stage of his incredible first year—from those sleepy newborn snuggles to his curious six-month smiles, and now his energetic one-year milestone.
One of my favorite parts of this session was recreating one of the same studio setups we used for each of his milestone sessions. Seeing his newborn, six-month, and one-year portraits side by side is such a beautiful reminder of just how quickly babies grow during that first year. For his one year session, we created three different setups that perfectly captured his happy personality. He was full of smiles, laughter, and plenty of that adventurous “wild boy” energy that kept all of us smiling.
It has been such an honor to watch him grow through every stage of his first year, and I can’t wait to see what adventures the next year brings!
