My sweet friend Amelia came back to the studio in May for her second JOY {Just One Year} Session! It felt like it wasn’t that long ago that I was photographing her as a tiny little newborn, yet, here we are! Can you even believe how much beautiful hair she has?!
We started with a simple setup using a sage green and floral backdrop with Amelia in a beautiful white dress while sitting on a cozy little pink rug.
While she was in this sweet outfit, we did some daddy & daughter pictures. These were some of my FAVORITES from her session. I LOVE when dads want to jump in for a few pictures and I know Amelia is going to love having these one day. 🙂
One of Amelia’s mom’s favorite images from her newborn session (mine too!) is one of her laying in a basket with a sweet little bonnet on surrounded by tiny pink roses. We decided to try and recreate a similar version of that at this session (and will do the same at her next session as well). I love how this shows how much they grow during this first 6 months. 🙂
And lastly, while she was wearing that sweet bonnet, I had to grab a couple of profile portraits to show off her adorable features. I can’t remember if she was looking up at her mama or daddy but they were certainly doing a great job of making her smile. 🙂
